MaxDB is a relational database system with which you can create, use and manage MaxDB database instances. MaxDB can handle a wide range of different types of information, which makes it a suitable database for diverse application scenarios.

MaxDB is available for all SAP applications. However, you can also use it with your own applications or third-party applications.

For more information about downloading the MaxDB software and documentation, see the Glossary under Download.

In addition to the Installation Manual, you can find all of the documentation about using the database system in non-SAP systems in the the MaxDB Library.
