Result

Transferring Log Files to the Database

When accessing log files of the Database Analyzer with the Database/liveCache Assistant, it will initially try to read files directly from the database of the current SAP application system.

If the log files are not available in the database of the SAP application system, it will then read from the database computer, which can be extremely time-consuming. In order to prevent it reading from the computer, you should ensure that the log files from the database computer in the database of the SAP application system are transferred regularly.

Automatic Transfer

You can transfer the log files automatically. To do this, choose Automatic Administration.

If you set the marker to Daily Transfer of Data from Previous Day from the Host to the DB (Table SDBCCMS) then the performance analysis log files will be copied once a day into the database of the SAP application system from which the Database Assistant was launched.

Manual Transfer

You can transfer the log files manually. To do this, choose Manual Administration.

Enter the desired time period for the data transfer from the computer to the database (Table SDBCCMS) and choose Transfer Data, to copy the log files into the database.
