The Diagnosis user menu of the DBA Cockpit contains, among other things, a display of information from the database kernel.

Procedure

Open the DBA Cockpit (transaction DBACOCKPIT) and choose   Diagnosis   Kernel Messages  .

Result

Current messages and old messages are logged in ring memory files that are overwritten as soon as they reach a certain size.

The first part of the file, which logs the last restart of the database, is excluded from the write cycle. A new log file is created each time the database system is started.

Error messages are logged continuously in a file. Delete any obsolete entries manually.
