To enable Database Manager to access a remote computer with operating system rights, log on to the operating system with the help of a DBM command in session mode or script mode.

The user data that you specify will be used once only for the logon. The data will not be stored on the remote computer.

This logon is required to execute the following DBM commands:

DBM Command

Description

db_create

Creating a database

inst_reg

Registering a version of the database software

inst_unreg

Deleting the registration of a database software version

service_register

Registering the service database in the system

service_unregister

Unregistering the service database in the system

Prerequisites

No server permissions are required for executing this DBM command.
