Prerequisites

  • You are logged on to the database as database system administrator or as a DBM operator with server authorization for using Database Analyzer.

    For more information, see Glossary, Server Permission.

  • The database is in the ONLINE operational state.

Procedure

  1. Select the database in the explorer tree.

  2. In the context menu of the database, choose Administration.

  3. Open the Analyzer tab page.

    Description

    Level

    Filter the information from the DBAN.prt file by warning level

    Warning levels 1 to 3: bottleneck warnings with low, medium, and high priority

    State

    To start or stop the Database Analyzer, click State.

    Configuration File

    Name of the configuration file to be used

    If you do not specify a configuration file, Database Analyzer uses the dbanalyzer<version>.cfg file in the <dependent_path>/env/ database directory.

    Log Directory

    Log file directory

    For more information, see Database Administration, Log Files.

    Interval

    Time interval between two analyses

    Default value: 900 s

    Process ID

    Process ID of the Database Analyzer

    Session ID

    Session ID of the database session
