The dbanalyzer<version>.cfg configuration file determines how Database Analyzer collects performance-relevant information. Database Analyzer obtains this performance-relevant information either directly from the system tables in the database, or calculates it from the data in those tables.

The configuration file also describes the five classes (information, three levels of warnings, error messages) that Database Analyzer uses to analyze the parameters and log them in the DBAN.prt or DBAN<monitor_class>.prt log file.
