Tools

You can use this menu to call the following tools, amon others, for more detailed administration tasks: Database Manager, Database Studio, the database console, the database trace, the SQLDBC trace, and the DBA planning calendar.

Procedure

Open the Database Assistant (transaction DB50) or the liveCache Assistant (transaction LC10). Choose Tools.

Open the DBA Cockpit (transaction DBACOCKPIT) and select Tools

Result

You can use the following tools:

Database Manager (CLI)
Database Studio
Database Console/Console
Database Trace
SQLDBC Trace
DBA Planning Calendar

Note Note

From SAP MaxDB Version 7.7 onwards, Database Studio replaces the database tools Database Manager GUI, SQL Studio, and Synchronization Manager and also offers additional functions (such as a GUI for the program loader). If you are using an SAP MaxDB version below 7.7, you can therefore use the Tools menu to call Database Manager GUI and SQL Studio, if required.
