You will find details in the database alert monitor or the liveCache alert monitor about the DBMRFC or Native SQL connection from the application server on which data collection for alert monitoring was started to the database or liveCache computer. It also provides you with information if a severe problem occurs with a data collector.
Open the Database Alert Monitor or liveCache Alert Monitor. Select Connectivity.
You receive the following displays in the node DMBRFC and Native SQL:
DBM Command Execution
A green alert shows that the DBMRFC connection is working correctly.
SQL Statement Execution
A green alert shows that the connection for executing SQL statements is working correctly.
Server of Data Collection
The name of the application server on which data collection for alert monitoring was started is shown.
In the node Check Data Collection, you can view the Disabled Data Collectors display. The monitoring architecture locks a data collector if it detects serious problems. This means that it is not started again, even if it is called manually using CCMS Monitoring (transaction RZ20). Serious problems with a data collector could, for example, include a data collector causing a short dump or running for too long from the point of view of the monitoring architecture.
The Disabled Data Collectors reports whether one or more of the four monitoring architecture data collectors have been locked.
A green alert shows that none of the four data collectors has been locked.
A red alert shows that at least one of the four data collectors has been locked and is therefore no longer called.
