A stripe is a logical part of a cache (data cache or converter) with which the system controls competing accesses by tasks using regions or reader-writer locks (share locks). A stripe contains multiple critical sections.

You can override the access restrictions calculated by the system using the DataCacheStripes and ConverterStripes special database parameters.
