Restart Information 

The restart information is on the first page of the first data volume. It contains all information required by the database system to restart the database instance, including the following:

●     Information on the log area

●     The converter starting point that the database system backed up at the last savepoint

●     The history directory starting point that the database system backed up at the last savepoint

●     The starting point in the internal file directory

The database system updates the restart information at each savepoint.
