Explanation:

The database system could not create shared memory, or access to the shared memory was denied. This error can occur if operating system permissions were assigned incorrectly.

·        If you are using UNIX or Linux, check whether the $HOME/.sdb directory exists and whether the user who is logged on to the operating system has access to this directory (see Concepts of the Database System, Special Operating System Users and User Groups (UNIX/Linux).

·        If a file is specified in <description>, check whether this file exists and whether the user who is logged on to the operating system has read and write privileges for this file.

·        If memory size is specified in <description>, check whether there is enough free space on the hard drive.
