Stopping the X Server 

Use

You stop the X Server.

Once the X Server has been stopped, database tools and applications can no longer communicate with a database instance located on a remote computer.

The JDBC interface also requires the X Server for local communication.

Prerequisites

For UNIX/Linux: You must be logged on as an operating system user belonging to  <sdba_group>.
