Choose the desired software package for your operating system:
maxdb-<inst_profile>-<os>-<32|64>bit-<arch>-<version>_<build>.tgz
2. Copy the software package to a local directory of your choice.
3. Unpack the software using the following command:
For installation from the SAP Service Marketplace:
SAPCAR –xvf MAXDB<version>_<build>-<GUID>.SAR
For installation from the MaxDB website:
tar xvzf maxdb-<inst_profile>-<os>-<32|64>bit-<arch>-<version>_<build>.tgz
The system has entered the following in this local directory:

For OLTP software,
the subdirectory
maxdb-<inst_profile>-<os>-<32|64>bit-<arch>-<version>

For SAP liveCache,
the subdirectory
apo<apo_version>_livecache-<os>-<arch>-<version>
It has stored the software to these subdirectories.

The simplest
option is now to install the software using the Installation Manager (GUI) by
calling the SDBSETUP program.
