Installing the Source Code 

Prerequisites

You have installed the development environment.

Procedure

...

       1.      Download the archive with the source code. See Download.

       2.      Unpack the archive in any directory.

The V<version> directory is created, where <version> is the version number of the MaxDB software.

       3.      Execute the installsources.pl Perl script in the V<version> directory.

The initDev_SAPDB(.bat) file and the MaxDB_ORG and MaxDB_DEV directories are created (see Directory Structure of the Development Environment).

Result

The source code was installed. Before you can change and recreate MaxDB programs, you first have to initialize the development environment.

Example

The following subdirectories are created when the development environment and the source code of the MaxDB software version 7.5.00.12 are installed in the <MyDevelopmentDirectory> directory:
