Synchronizing database instances involves comparing data from multiple database instances. If data in one database instance is changed, these changes are replicated in the other database instances.
If two database instances change the same data at the same time, the system executes an automatic conflict handling. The client database instances can be offline in the meantime. Optionally, you can define filters for the data.
For synchronization, you need a message server with a message database instance.
Schematic Overview: Synchronization of a Master with Two Client Database Instances
· You have installed the software for the Synchronization Manager.
· The amount of changed data as a proportion of all data must be small.
To configure and manage the synchronization of multiple database instances, use the Synchronization Manager; see the documentation for the Synchronization Manager.
