You can also configure the operating system and database instance so that the database instance is automatically transferred to the ONLINE operational state when the computer is started. To do this, you set the Startup type to Automatic for the kernel service of the database instance.

The X Server, which you need for network communication, is started automatically by the database system.
On UNIX/Linux, you create a start script and generate symbolic links to it in the desired run-level directories. You can find more information about starting programs automatically in your operating system documentation.
