Background documentation Application Data Locate the document in the library structure

The data records for a database instance, including their index entries, are called application data.

The application data in a table or an index occupies at least one page in a data volume. The database system may distribute application data from large tables across more than one data volume. You cannot influence or find out which application data is stored in which data volumes.
