VMAKE Versions 

Use

VMAKE can be executed in different versions. The VMAKE versions differ from each other by the trace and check levels that are integrated in the software when they are created (see Kernel Variants).

Scripts for calling VMAKE

VMAKE Version	Description	Calling Script
fast	The software that is created does not make any additional error checks and does not log any information beyond the database’s normal trace output.	imf.pl
slow	The software that is created does not make any additional error checks and logs information beyond the database’s normal trace output.	ims.pl

If the VMAKE version in the description files for the module groups is different to the one you specified when you called VMAKE, the call version is overridden by the version specified in the validity range of the description file.
