In Database Studio, database landscapes are used for organizing multiple database computers (servers) for easier access and administration.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Procedure

Creating New Database Landscapes
  1. In the explorer tree, go to the top level using the Up One Level (Up One Level) button.

  2. In the context menu of Local, choose   New   Landscape  .

  3. Enter a landscape name.

  4. Add database computers and databases to the landscape.

Importing Database Landscapes from Database Manager GUI

Start Database Studio from the command line using the -ldf <landscape_definition_file> call option.
