The Messages user menu contains, among other things, a display of information from the database kernel.

Procedure

Open the Database Assistant (transaction DB50) or the liveCache Assistant (transaction LC10). Choose   Problem Analysis   Messages   Kernel  .

Result

Current messages and old messages are logged in ring memory files that are overwritten as soon as they reach a certain size.

The first part of the file, which logs the last restart of the database instance, is excluded from the write cycle. A new log file is created each time the database system is started.

Error messages are logged continuously in a file. Delete any obsolete entries manually.
