Since SAP MaxDB needs no reorganization, you do not have to modify the memory characteristics for indexes. The ALTER INDEX (alter_index_statement) SQL statement is known in SAP MaxDB, but has different syntax and semantics to Oracle (ALTER INDEX statement).
