The TRUNCATE (truncate_statement) SQL statement is only supported with a restricted syntax by SAP MaxDB:

  • The TRUNCATE CLUSTER [<schema>.]<cluster> SQL statement is not accepted by SAP MaxDB.

  • The syntax elements DROP/REUSE STORAGE are accepted by SAP MaxDB. They do not have any semantic meaning, however, since they trigger a response that is standard in SAP MaxDB.
