The SQL syntax elements for Oracle Version 7 and SAP MaxDB in ORACLE SQL mode differ with regard to the definition of possible database objects, among other things.

The following database objects are not supported by SAP MaxDB:

  • Clusters

  • Database links

  • Packages

  • Profiles

  • Rollback segments

  • Snapshot logs

  • Tablespaces

The following database object is supported by SAP MaxDB, but uses a different syntax or procedure for creation than Oracle:
