In the dbanalyzer<version>.cfg configuration file, you define the rules and commands which are used by Database Analyzer when determining performance-relevant information. Database Analyzer obtains this performance-relevant information either directly from the system tables in the database, or calculates it from the data in those tables.

The configuration file also describes the five classes (information, three levels of warnings, error messages) that Database Analyzer uses to analyze the parameters and log them in the DBAN.prt log file. You can specify fixed instructions in the configuration file for how the users should respond to these classes.
