Object Files 

The files that are created when module files are unpacked and translated are called object files. Object files have the file extension .o

Object files are stored by default in the directories that correspond to the VMAKE version (VMAKE Call Versions), that is, in fast or slow (see Directory Structure of the Development Environment). If the noversion option is specified in the compiler description for a module file, the object file is stored directly in the wrk/obj directory.
