Purpose

The Database Manager GUI database tool is used to manage database instances. You can use it among other things to create, monitor, back up, and restore database instances.

The Database Manager GUI has a graphical user interface and can be used only on Microsoft Windows. However, you can use the Database Manager GUI also to manage database instances that are running on a remote computer with a different operating system.
