The database software has a version number. The version number reflects the version of the database kernel.
The MaxDB and SAP liveCache versions use the same version number.
The version number of the database software is identical to the version of the Database Manager CLI tool. The software for the Database Manager CLI program is part of the basic package of the database software and can only be installed together with that software.
To display the version of your database software, use the DBM command dbm_version. If you have already created database instances, you can also use the DBM command db_enum.
