Procedure documentation Configuring the Synchronization Manager GUI Locate the document in the library structure

Use

To use the Synchronization Manager GUI, you need multiple Eclipse files in the directory <independent_data_path>\app\syncman\extern.

Example

UNIX/Linux: /var/opt/sdb/data/app/syncman/extern

Microsoft Windows: c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\sdb\data\app\syncman\extern

See Installation Manual, Structure linkDirectories

Files in the directory <independent_data_path>\app\syncman\extern override files with the same name in the directory <syncman> and its subdirectories. Both directories are created when the Synchronization Manager is installed.

Prerequisites

Only for UNIX/Linux: You are logged on to the operating system as an operating system user of the special operating system group <sdba_group>. See Concepts of the Database System, Structure link<sdba_group> (Special Operating System Group).

Procedure

Perform the following actions on all computers on which you want to use the Synchronization Manager GUI.

Copy the following Eclipse files from the Eclipse SDK or the Eclipse platform runtime binary package for your operating system to the directory <independent_data_path>\app\syncman\extern.
