Background documentation Undo Log Entry Locate the document in the library structure

The database system writes undo log entries (before images) for every transaction that changes data in the database. The database system saves the original values of all database objects that the transaction changes in the undo log entries.

The database system uses undo log entries if it has to undo an incomplete transaction (ROLLBACK).
